The same checklist runs on every product we cover, regardless of category or who sells it.
We record every active ingredient and dose exactly as printed, including proprietary blends where individual doses are hidden.
Where a label groups ingredients under one combined dose, we note it explicitly rather than guessing at individual amounts.
Each ingredient's dose is compared against the amounts used in the clinical studies the brand cites, or the closest available published research.
We note sample size, whether a study was peer-reviewed, and whether it was industry-funded, since not all cited research carries equal weight.
We look for independent lab verification (NSF, USP, or equivalent) and say so plainly when a brand doesn't provide any.
Formulas change without much notice. We revisit every review on a rolling monthly basis and update the score if the product does.
A score is based on dose transparency, how closely label doses match studied doses, and whether independent testing is disclosed. It is not based on how a brand ranks, how much commission a link pays, or how a brand's outreach team has treated us.
Formulas and research both change, and we don't catch every update the moment it happens. If you spot a label change or a study we've mischaracterized, our correction policy explains how to flag it and how we handle it.
MedMorning earns a commission on some purchases made through links on this site. That's disclosed on every review, and it's separate from how a product is scored — see our affiliate disclosure for the full detail.
